🚨 Newport Beach flooding blamed on climate change. Again.
1939: Massive storm waves destroyed much of Balboa Pier and Newport Pier.
1983: Major El Niño storms caused severe coastal flooding.
This has happened before. El Niño, powerful ocean swells, and astronomical tides have driven coastal flooding for centuries. New and full moons can amplify high tides.
Perhaps after we solve climate change, we can tackle the Moon’s alignment with the Sun and Earth.
Let me get this straight…
We're told today's temperatures are the hottest in 125,000 years, yet melting glaciers in the Swiss Alps are revealing human artifacts thousands of years old.
So what exactly is the theory here?
That ancient humans were living UNDER the glaciers? Building little igloos beneath hundreds of feet of ice? 😂
Or is it possible that these areas were once ice-free, that glaciers subsequently advanced over them, and that Earth's climate has been changing dramatically long before SUVs, coal plants, and private jets?
Apparently, climate history only counts when it supports the narrative.
The planet has never been static. Stop pretending it was.

@HillsPet customer service is just a recording that says they are “closed for a meeting”!!! That can’t be good.
Ordered dog food on Saturday and website says order is “fulfilled” but no tracking number and delivery time was up yesterday! $$ already charged.

.@TomFitton Jack Smith's goons harassed me and Judicial Watch. Argued with me about my tweets, what I ate for lunch at WH, and asked me about whether I saw classified documents while attending a giant Turning Point event in a ballroom at Mar-a-Lago.
As the Washington Post editorial board points out, the permitting bill is a win for Democrats—not Americans. It will ease the way for more pointless, expensive and destructive wind and solar. Fossil fuel, industrial and natural resource development will continue to be mired in bureaucracy and lawfare. If you are a Republican senator who finds himself on the same side of an issue as a gleeful Sheldon Outhouse, you might want to reconsider your position.

"The internet will reward you for chopping down trees in the wrong forest."
LL Cool J delivers a blunt reality check about young people growing up in a world of instant validation, telling Joe Rogan that real life doesn't work like social media.
Will Cain reflects on the warning about the influence of the online world on young minds, but insists this is a fight society can still win.

@FoxBusiness So ugly!!! I hate to see a company that has created such engineering beauty lose its way.
Boys and Girls, find yourself a book with pictures of 1960's era Jags and reacquaint yourself with beauty. Not this box of rocks.
🚨 President Trump just WENT OFF on Merrick Garland and the Biden DOJ for TRACKING Melania and his then-minor son Barron
People should be LOCKED UP over this!
"They were tracking my wife, my son... They did a raid on Mar A Lago. They did things to people that were associated with us that NOBODY should have been able to do."
"These were bad people. These are bad, SICK people, actually. VERY sick people. DERANGED!"
This is one of my favorite charts. 📊
Regular gas prices in 🔴 states vs. 🔵 states.
Gasoline prices have risen for everyone since the Iran War started in February. There is absolutely no doubt that the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz (which, as of the time I'm writing this, is improving) was the cause.
But regardless of recent price trends amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions, prices tend to be cheaper than the national average and median (a more appropriate metric) in red states. On the other hand, blue states tend to run more expensive, the exceptions of course being Colorado (a surprise to me), Maryland (barely), and my home state of Virginia.
These differences primarily boil down to gas tax rates. Democrat-run states have higher tax rates because, well, Democrats like higher taxes. This should not be a shocker to anyone.
California takes the cake, though. The gas tax rate of $0.63 / gallon is the highest in the United States, and environmental regulations (e.g., cap-and-trade and their low-carbon fuel standard), which add another $0.21 to $0.26 / gallon, impose significant burdens on consumers.
Assuming that you drive a vehicle with a 26-gallon tank and fill up every 1.5 weeks, on average, Californians spend ~$2,335.36 more per year on gas than Indianians. Left-wing energy policies are nuts.
