@tom_wainwright There was actually a fair bit of discussion about the Duke's process last year. Across the county championship and also in tests, the balls were going out of shape like never before. Walter would have turned in his grave!

@digjoh Yep 'twas I. There was a great article Jonathan Rendall wrote about him which was based on Jimmy White recounting Houlihan-tales while they were waiting to be served in a betting shop. Too much trouble for the snooker old guard in the 70s - he was never allowed to turn pro.
