@Wongtimer More cap space should be added via trade once they trade a defenseman, most likely a lefty like Siegenthaler or Dillon. As of July 1 both have a 10 team NTC but I expect 1 or both of them to be moved
@DWorldOrder@KevinWeekes Next year is a loaded free agent class, but many of those will be signed to extensions or sign and trades and won’t even make it there. Devils also have a number of expiring contracts next year including Siegenthaler, Dillon, Noesen and others
@DWorldOrder@KevinWeekes Yes? It’s a no brainer. Hellebyuk will be good for the next three-four years. Why not go all in while Jack Hughes is under contract? Who knows if he will re-sign long term again in NJ. This team has not had consistency in between the pipes since Schneider before he was injured
New York guard Jose Alvarado is declining his $4.5 million player option and intends to sign a new three-year, $14-plus million deal to return to the Knicks, sources tell ESPN. Knicks made it a priority to retain the NY native who played key role on a historic championship team.
@bubbytheboxer@TheBrattPack63 Too early to tell, but I think Nemec deserved the long term contract over Luke Hughes. Things would be a lot different if Luke wasn’t related to our best player.
@sean_godbold@TheBrattPack63 I think he is a more put together defenseman than Luke Hughes. Nemec deserved the $9MM and long term investment more. Alas, this is one of those trades you really can’t judge until the outcome of the picks, whether they are prospects who pan out, or trade chips to immediate help
