Intensive exercise, which generates a high degree of shear stress, destroys circulating tumor cells.
As a quirk of cancer cell biology, many types of metastatic cancer cells are vulnerable to shear stress created by blood flow itself.
However, it's important to recognize that not all cancer cells are equally sensitive to mechanical stress.
On the other hand, this isn't the only aspect of exercise that acts as a tool to hamper cancer cells.
Even when focusing solely on the vascular system, exercise contributes to tumor vessel normalization.
This can enhance the effectiveness of therapeutics by improving their access to tumors, illustrating how exercise can be a complementary therapeutic strategy even alongside other treatments.
Nor is exercise a perfect solution: very active people do sometimes get cancer, obviously.
But, for many of us, the fact that exercise can help and also be a tool of prevention can be a very empowering message.

When I work with pastors who are awakening to the harm they’ve caused, in almost every case they’ve 1) never addressed their own unresolved emotional issues and the harm they experienced, 2) were formed in formation-by-information cultures, 3) were formed in cultures where Christian character was an afterthought and where external competencies were prized, 4) experienced profound loneliness in their lives which extended to their adult lives, and 5) felt like they needed to inspire/demand the respect and attention they deeply longed for and missed out on in their own childhood.
“It is true that some who have abandoned the Church are rebellious and arrogant, but I believe there are others who are just confused. They love Jesus but have a hard time finding the connection between what they read in Scripture and what they experience in the Church.” - Chan
The deepest motive for mission is simply the desire to be with Jesus where he is, on the frontier between the reign of God and the usurped dominion of the devil.
“The Lord has given me a platform to shine a light that the world tries to dim.”
