Bought a new backpack style weed killer sprayer this morning, as the old one is falling apart. I so wanted the electric one, but at more than double the price, I’ve stuck with a manual pump. Proud and sad at the same time.

Car 35/54. I needed something fast and spacious for our annual trip to Le Mans, so I opted for a Sharan VR6, fully loaded. Of all the cars I ran while at VW, this was the one I heard “Can I borrow your car for the weekend, Mike?” the most.

Car 34/54. One of the first “new” Beetles in the UK, a left hand drive auto version, some time before RHD production started. Attracted more looks than any other car I had, but not really my cup of tea.

@simoninmadrid The language stories have been such fun on @LaPortadaPod. Had lunch with some visitors yesterday who saw a sign for a village on the island they’d never heard of before, but couldn’t find after driving down a track. “Where is Punto Limpio?"
