Thank you to the Riverside High School students who organized this amazing stair climb event and raised over $25,000 for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. It was my honor and privilege to climb the equivalent of 110 stories/2,200 stairs with them and the @LoudounFire first responders today. As we climbed those stairs, we remembered the nearly 3000 lives lost in a horrific terrorist attack on 9/11/2001. We honor those courageous first responders in NYC and at the Pentagon-many of them who made the ultimate sacrifice for others or suffered severe injuries and serious health issues in the aftermath.
