Respect the take, but it's condescending beyond measure. You know what creates culture? Winning. Pissott could help the Fever win more than a 34 year old immobile forward. The Fever intentionally screwed Pissott over to save a few bucks. How's that for culture?

Many of you don't understand the importance of culture. Overall, you either get it or you don't. So I'm going to try to bring perspective. Let's say we concede that Pissott is better than Dantas. Now, is Chennedy Carter better than Pissott? Hint: YES! Yet the Aces let Chennedy go and brought in Pissott. What is the likely reason for waiving Chennedy? It certainly wasn't for a lack of skill, so there has to be something else--and though we don't know exactly, we ain't dumb. So, again, when you're on the outside looking in, your vision is limited--but from what has been said, it has something to do with culture, however that looks. So you say one player is "better" than the other, and often, people (including teammates) have totally different definitions of "better" than others think of when they think of "better." People who have been in leadership positions or have been in community with others understand that. You don't turn things upside down for 5 minutes on the court here and there, and that's likely what it would have been--if that. And apparently, if you're the Aces, you don't allow someone to turn things upside down for a lot more minutes than that--in addition to a lot of points--thus, Chennedy no longer being on the team. What people call stupid is often wisdom that people without wisdom don't understand. Just kindly sayin'. So...let's go, Fever!

Such a troubling post by someone whose insights I usually respect. I don't think anyone is saying she's a superstar. She wasn't given a fair shot in Indy. And I hope the dig about practice isn't meant for the player in question.
