@KevinCManahan Count me in. Rog and Duke owe me $50 million so you can get my share from them. Buzzy should be available as hitting and strength coach. Skip can handle pitchers. You manage and I’ll GM.
@KevinCManahan The last time HC won you and I had hair and were bunking in Lehy and Hanselman. I believe we celebrated at the No Name and the Black Rose. Neil Wheelright, RIP, had his career highlight that day in ‘78 at Chestnut Hill. No. 1 for me, @KevinCManahan
I took a girlfriend to see it. Halfway through she asked me to leave. I said we should finish it to give it a chance. She reluctantly agreed. We broke up soon after. She was right.

There is: The 1971 Chuck Hughes Game.
They *clearly* made the wrong call in 1971 to continue the game.
The knew Hughes had passed but kept it secret from everyone.
Yet it's all anybody remembers about the game.
1971 - Lions-Bears in Detroit: The Chuck Hughes Game.
Scarred everyone involved, all the players, the fans, and they didn't give the news until 50 minutes after they completed the game.
They gave Hughes CPR on the field.
All praying this outcome different.

Was walking in my neighborhood and noticed a kid, maybe 12, in his driveway tossing a football up and catching it. I paused and said, “I’m open,” then creaked into a trot. He threw a nice spiral which I bobbled but caught. We played catch for a few minutes. Made my day.
@sgary4@KevinCManahan Scoop, I caught it and immediately had two thoughts: 1. Does he have any idea how often I’ve blessed and cursed him for helping set me (and Geebs) on this career path; 2: I wonder if he can still hit the high notes of “Roxanne.”
Tim had such a wealth of knowledge about so many things and was an unflappable editor. More than that, though, he was just an uncommonly decent man. Sad day for us @PressHerald and for Maine journalism.

This afternoon I braked suddenly for a mother duck and six ducklings crossing Route 2 in Hermon. Van behind me went onto the dirt shoulder and passed me on the right doing around 50, leaving me shaking my head at how close I came to dying for ducks.
