Y'all can't say I didn't warn you. Ya had 17 years to come to terms with it.

Now I'll have to save up to buy a region-free 4K blu ray player to avoid putting anymore wear and tear on my PS5 Pro's disc drive.

I currently own over 200 physical ps5 games and over 300 ps4, which I play on my ps5. Come 2028 there will be zero reason for me to own another playstation console, especially since Insomniac, Asobi and Santa Monica are the only studios they have left that put out single player games worth buying.

Starting in 2028 my monthly gaming fund will be switching 100% to expanding my retro game collection for NES, SNES, etc. In the unlikely event that Playstation actually releases a 1st party game I want to try after that point and do not release a PC port, I'll simply sail the high seas.

Welcome to the Video Game Market Crash 2.0. I would say go buy a PC or Steambox asap but we all know no one can afford one.
