Oliva had a bad thumb and was throwing his bat on occasion. One time the bat went into the Yankees dugout. I learned later it was Pepitone who threw it back; Tony skipped rope.

@AMBS_Kernan Spot on. We left in the 4th, because of the boredom, and, the garbage call of the chief of analytical sanitation, J. Schmutz. It was poetic justice that two Yankees drove in 3/4 runs and Belli got MVP. So we switched to season 4 of Longmire. Meh. Wife likes it.

Then a new director came in 1970 and moved practices from nights to afternoons, which wiped out the science and engineering majors who had afternoon labs.
