People throughout Johnson County paused to recognize #Juneteenth this weekend. It was my privilege to be a part of several ceremonies, including the County's second annual celebration yesterday in Lenexa.
I v much appreciate the opportunity @jocogov@mikeforjoco to serve. Transportation/transit is the connecting fiber of our metro & collaboration is key to success. Look forward to working w @RideKCTransit
As the JoCo BOCC did last year, this year's Board once again recognized June 2 as #GunViolenceAwareness Day. I own guns. Like a majority of fellow gun owners, I support concrete, reasonable measures to reduce gun violence and keep our community safe.
The #WorldCup2026 will have a major impact on our entire region, including #JoCo. As a member of the #KC2026 Board of Directors, I'll bring Johnson County's interests to the table as we take on this enormous opportunity.
If it's a Saturday, I'm usually at Meadowbrook chasing my kids around. Last weekend, we got to cut a ribbon while we were there! โ๏ธ It was great to celebrate a new inclusive playground in the NE corner of the park, along with a new shelter, restroom, and additional parking.
Many of the regionโs leading climate advocates gathered last night for a great @ClimateActionKC event.
There was a strong Overland Park delegation in attendance and it was great to hear how Commission Chair and CAKC cofounder @mikeforjoco is bringing results to Johnson County.
In my first-ever State of the County address, my message was simple: the state of our county is strong, and we will lead the next generation of prosperity, innovation, and growth. Watch the full speech here: https://t.co/7cDbtxcn5R.

@jocogov#JoCoSOTC highlights: 1 in 4 jobs in Kansas in JoCO. Job growth but still a need for affordable housing for renters, and solutions for child care options. County taking steps but #Kansas#ksleg have to do their part.
@REACHHealthcare team may have clapped a little extra hard when @mikeforjoco shared @jocogov administered elections continue to be conducted appropriately and safely--dismissing motion that there's a problem with voting practices. #JoCoSOTC
