It's time for my quarterly tweet. I need your help, dear reader.
Send me some Blazers-y questions for a mailbag show. Only good ones. If you have a bad one send it to Sean or Danny or whatever.
(If you want *twice* a quarter tweets, I am on bluesky under the same name)
@pdxbrocialite A listener corrected me: There's one on 60th and Duke. And a couple on Division at like 130 and 170 and another above 160th on Foster. My "never go east of Interstate" bias is showing. But importantly there are fewer DQs than this proud city once sported.
Help me make the most Rose colored glasses episode of @LockedOnBlazers and fill the world with harmless joy.
What’s your most (sorta realistic) optimistic Trail Blazers take for next season?
I don't have notifications turned on for the news brokers because I respect my peace. But I do have a lotta basketball bros (gender neutral) who text me when the Trail Blazers make a trade. It's a great service.
@blazers_ben @LockedOnBlazers I actually did this in the summer of 2020 when everything went to hell. Not the biggest obvious ones but: What if the Blazers kept Moses Malone, what if the didn’t they didn’t trade Jermaine ONeal, etc.
@revdrbiels@LockedOnBlazers I mean, you get it. But I’m trying to get from Sunday to Monday. This is a good idea for future me but present me needs a softball.
Under Joe Cronin the Trail Blazers have been incredibly precise about lottery level workouts. They worked out Shaedon Sharpe twice. They worked out 5 total players in the No. 3 pick range all of last year. I would read into as much as you want, it's been a good indicator.
@mattrado ehh the situations are really different. I'm not sure the Suns ownership has been been an advantage, per se. Wanting the Blazers to get a new coach is fine. This particular situation doesn't strike me as a useful test case.
