We've had approx 60mm of rain at the top of the Severn/Wye & its forecast to rain into lunchtime. This will see the Severn/Wye react over next 12-24 hours. As a result we will be issuing some additional warnings & deploying our barriers at Hereford from 1st light. #FloodAware

Likely to see some barrier deployments from tomorrow. Plenty of rain in the forecast, levels have dropped a little so shouldn’t be as high as recent but we need to remain vigilant and focussed. We’re talking to partners to keep them upto date. Also some tidal action this week.

Flood risk remains on the lower #Aire. Washlands (Ings) full but slowly emptying. Genuine sympathy for those flooded. A really impressive multiagency pumping operation in place. A very wet February on top of the previous few months no wonder ‘unprecedented’ gets used.

A week of emotions meeting those responding and affected by flooding. I have been saddened by individual stories but amazed by the community spirit, immensely proud by the Environment Agency and partner response and hopeful this weather will end!
