As expected January ended up a very dry month.
For England it was the ninth driest since 1862 with an average of just 38% of normal rainfall. Some parts considerably less than that.
Every day I meet intelligent, educated people, who have no idea we are sitting on the precipice of total climate breakdown and ecological collapse. They don’t realise that it is in years, not centuries that we will see disaster unfold.
