We are about to enter an era of college football where no game will have any real meaning until mid-November.
Two, three, four losses, who cares?
Truly appreciate a bunch of old guys in suits ruining something great
Congrats to the biggest winner of the 24-team playoff: Administrators at also-ran Big Ten and SEC schools who can keep the Ponzi scheme going
Why CFP expansion is such a slap in the face:
https://t.co/70F6GkvCub
The lack of urgency on any CFB Saturday is now gone.
Every 10-2 team is in. Probably every 9-3 SEC/Big Ten team is in and even some 8-4.
No suspense of failure.
No big reward.
No juice.
Might be time to experience apple picking or a fall wedding for the first time ever.
Need someone who is pro-24 to explain why any Ohio State, Indiana, Georgia, Alabama, etc. regular season game is ever going to matter again.
They're better than 10 teams on the schedule every year and will get in at 9-3 and likely at 8-4.
Why will the regular season matter?
I love college football. Always have.
Its regular season is the best in sports. Has been forever.
So it's legitimately upsetting that the CFP is going to 24 teams. Not everything needs to be about how the most money can be made. I hope some of the sport's big names speak up.
I wrote this four years ago and it still applies. The people who run college football conferences don’t get the regular season *is* the sport and rivalries are more important than the tv markets. The playoffs should be additive to that, not replacing that. Sad.

@PeteSampson_ I fear this is the last step to the inevitable super league. When that happens all these dopes who supported this will feel real stupid when they get left behind and the conferences get blown up.
They are idiots. The guys who designed the 12 team playoff made some sacrifices for the betterment of college football and Tony Petitti wants to destroy it. Maybe he should undo the mistake of his predecessor and put the PAC-12 back together.
People spent 16 years begging for the BCS to get bigger. They resisted.
People spent a decade begging for the CFP to expand beyond 4. They resisted.
For the first time ever, people are saying "We like it at the size it is, really."
They blew it up within 3 years.

Okay…… I’m all about “Good Sportsmanship” but the folks at @BYUtv, have taken “Sportsmanship” to a whole different level!!! Imagine my shock when they asked to do an “interview” with me and this was the final product????
Many stories about my life have been told, but none as eloquent as this.
@zogwin and Brandon Crow did an AMAZING job showing how Football & @NotreDame changed the lives of my Mom and I 39 years ago - Thank You @BigStoriesBYUtv!!!!!!
