@LordAshcroft, the appeal of @RestoreBritain and @RupertLowe10 is basically this: it’s the political equivalent of your no-nonsense grandad who has watched the country turn into a never-ending mediocre staff meeting about feelings and virtue signalling and has finally said, “Right, that’s enough of that.”
It speaks to the English (and British) who can trace their lot back through the Blitz, the Industrial Revolution, the invention of basically everything useful and even beyond. It speaks to the people that support only England - not those here by temporary convenience or some administrative loophole. It speaks to those that can see the fruits of their inter-generational labour being eroded by freeloaders.
In a world where “common sense” now requires a trigger warning and “keep Britain British” gets you labelled some sort of extremist, Restore Britain offers the not so radical notion that a country should probably put its own people first, expect people who live here to speak the language, and stop apologising for existing. Rupert Lowe’s the straight-talking grandad figure who’s sick of the weak willed. We’re a notion of makers, not a nation of takers - and those makers who @RestoreBritain appeals to.
Whether it actually restores anything, catalyses real progress or just forces everyone else to talk about the elephant in the room, remains to be seen. But 25% of ALL people in your poll, either like it or are glad someone’s saying it. I for one, am very much in the Aim High, Vote Lowe camp!
They’re communists
They have never worked a day in their lives
They’ve never built anything except a list of complaints
They’re takers, we’re builders
Important to understand why their winning and fix those things via capitalism and free markets:
lack of Affordable housing (afforability)
College debt (afforability)
Universal health care (afforability)
inflation (afforability)
wages (afforability)
Ending pointless forever wars (policy)
They have already justified everything that has happened in Belfast because they were singing when they were winning and thought the pendulum would never swing back.
