@Tmar8 He’ll be better this season imo. People forget he had a serious knee injury senior year of HS and didn’t play at all in the spring. Very difficult to do as a freshman starting at his position. He’ll look 10-20% better at full form

@nhlpens I think if he pans out Wright is more likely to be a really good 3C than a 2 or 1C, but he does have the offensive upside for a top six role. Definitely a gamble I would love to take but only at the right price

@_j_a_k_e_d In the new cap era environment it’s fine. Not a steal but not an overpayment. If he maintains his production pace it’s a steal, and even if he carries over like 80% of it’s stil not a bad deal.

@shaynagoldman_ Very likely his shooting % takes a dip next season but I still think it should age well. He is great carrying the puck through the NZ and feeding from down low in the OZ. Solid defensively too and his release is wicked, not a bargain but fair deal imo.

@vezinannn @MarkMaddenX By the time that contract is over won’t be 5 active players better than Leo Carlsson let alone 4 late 1st round picks. When you have a future superstar 1C you keep him at all costs. Keep in mind he is only 21 and probably already a top 10 C in the league. Just my two cents
