@MikeyMuls I also did not include any transfer of resource allocation from offense to defense which will likely occur with Lane, Dickerson, etc exiting.
@MikeyMuls I tried to look strictly at current cash due independent of the salary cap implications. Nolan Smith's 5th year option stands out as something that would be moved before 2027. I'd assume Baun is a post June 1, 2028 release. Greenard also gone before 2028.
@MikeyMuls But I agree that the Greenard deal makes it hard to reconcile another huge investment at edge along with the pending contract extensions on the defense after 2026 and 2027.
@MikeyMuls Garrett has $41.09m in cap charges that remain on the Browns cap. If traded post June 1, it's spread as $15.53m in 2026 & $25.56m in 2027 on Cleveland’s cap. AJ has $43.45m in cap charges remaining on Eagles cap. When traded, AJ’s will be $16.35m in 2026 & $27.1m in 2027.
@SixersAdam Story idea for you. Did Mike Gansey and Jameer Nelson ever play against each other while at St. Joe's and West Virginia respectively? There was certainly a lot of overlap in team success at that time.

The Atlanta Hawks are signing general manager Onsi Saleh to a long-term contract extension and promoting him to President of Basketball Operations, sources tell ESPN. Saleh – runner up for 2026 league executive of the year – took over as Hawks GM last offseason after joining Atlanta in 2024 following executive stints in Golden State and San Antonio.
I felt Daryl Morey was the right hire at the time and I can understand most of the moves he made over six years in a vacuum. But it’s a result driven business and the overall performance warranted a change.
ESPN story on Daryl Morey exiting as president of the Philadelphia 76ers and Nick Nurse continuing as Sixers head coach -- with Bob Myers leading the search for the team's new head of basketball operations: https://t.co/jMhsbV8GuR
Morey goes, Nurse stays feels like the scenario that had the longest odds and is maybe the dumbest. Can this franchise just once have a unified vision from top to bottom? Part of the reason the Process was so appealing was it was the one time they had a coherent plan.
