£3 trillion of National debt.
A huge budget deficit.
The highest tax burden in living memory.
Wealth creators and investors fleeing.
Dole queues lengthening.
Businesses folding.
And we have a bunch of financially illiterate socialist duds in charge.
God help us.
The basic economics of how we fix our country, and it isn’t crying about taxing billionaires.
Everyone can become net wealthier, and it really is simple…
Wealth is created by making things people want.
Humans are amazing, we really are, we figure shit out and get better, faster and more efficient at making stuff. This is productivity, it means stuff gets cheaper, our money goes further and we become more wealthy.
When taxes, government spending and welfare are poorly used (which we have been guilty of for decades), they reduce incentives to work, invest and innovate. A shitty education system does the same.
If we don’t raise productivity, we’ll continue to get materially poorer.
We have no choice but to stop the parasites of productivity:
- Big government
- High tax
- Over regulation
- High energy costs
- International welfare state
We fix this, everyone will become more wealthy.
Carry on the same, everyone will get poorer, apart from the rich, they’ll just leave and go where respects capital.
Argue with me as much as you want. I don’t care. This is our only choice.
Madness.
Unemployed parents on benefits to be given £4,500 a year if their kid becomes an apprentice.
What about working parents? You know, the fools paying taxes for that bung.
Labour rewards the least deserving. https://t.co/Gq8L7e8eKx
@GorkaPintado18 Errr yes there is… if you understood the difference between assets and cash, maybe you wouldn’t have to rely on other people’s money so much 🤔
@PeterMcCormack I think a conservative / reform coalition will be needed come 2029.. then let’s undo this mess and stop it happening again. Such a shame what our country has turned into
Why did Angela Rayner receive £17K severance for resigning as a Minister in the scandal over failing to pay HMRC £40K in stamp duty and why hasn’t she been forced to give it back now she’s back in the Cabinet 10 months later.
Socialist fiddle their taxes and get rewarded. Sickening.
Congratulations to John Healey on his appointment.
He can now ensure the Defence Investment Plan is properly funded. Conservatives will work with him to cut benefits so we can fund defence.
Because we can’t have higher taxes or even more borrowing.
Wealth is no money, wealth is the things we create.
Every obstacle from the state - regulations, licenses, taxation, gets in the way of creating wealth.
By being more productive, we create more wealth. The state is an obstacle to productivity.
Creating money out of thin air, means more money chasing after the same stuff, which is why we get inflation. Things are not getting more expensive, the money is dying.
The creation of money out of thin air is uneven.
I wish more understood this.
@NatalieFleetMP I tell you what people aren’t laughing at @NatalieFleetMP, the cost of living, the fact that they have the highest tax burden in history and that despite working they have little to show for it.. all down to your party. Now how about growing up and sorting it out?
@AndyMcDonaldMP When was the last time you created jobs Andy or hired anyone? It’s not hard to see why unemployment is up under Labour.. maybe the adults need to get back in charge now?
Capital gains taxes make no sense & shouldn't exist
I invest my capital. I create the opportunity. I take the risk. I do the work. I take the chances. I accept the losses if things go wrong
So why should the government collect a slice when things go right?
They didn’t take the risk. They didn’t build the business. They just take
