Emerald ash beetle wiped out green ash in Michigan/Ohio. They girdle trees. Spreading via firewood. Surprised St. Louis hasn't heard yet.

Firefly is "sci fi western" with very engaging characters.Only lasted one season (2?) Now has a"cult"following among the young.Ben owns 'em.

Tonight I'm hanging out with Cassia, Susan's at church. Watched 2 Firefly episodes. A recommended series. Practiced a bit of spanish.

Went with friends to the MNTwins season opener.Dull game so we got to visit for 3 hours.At least the ladies did.Guys watched the game a bit.

My peppers are just now coming up. Today saw my first blue bird while biking to school. Hungry I bet as lows are still well below freezing.

To get a spectra, take a pic of burning chemicals through a $15 spectroscope. Some kids even collaborate with University researchers!

Unhappy with Prius. Back doesn't hold as much as I think it should. Couldn't take it to Family Camp this weeked. Sad nerds.

Happy with Prius.Cassia /I cheered as it clicked to 47 mpg 4 blocks from home (300 mi) and we held onto it the rest of the way. Happy nerds.
