I also average a double double on REC as PG with points and assists and shoot over 70% from 3 and all around. I don’t struggle with the game. I’m saying that the gameplay is moving more toward NBA Jam rather than true sim gameplay, which attracts low bball IQ players and rewards them for unrealistic gameplay. REC is basically a 3 point contest the whole game. It’s so repetitive and uninspiring. Point guards dribble spamming up top until the defender gets caught in a pick animation and then shooting 3s over and over again. If any team in the NBA operated the way people play on REC, they would go 0-82. There is zero incentive to have to actually learn basketball and the whole game boils down to who is the best at creating an inch of separation and spamming 3s while the whole team watches them. If that person can’t get open, then they pass to another person and we all watch them do the same thing. You call me an NPC while the game is literally catering to NPC’s that don’t ever have to learn true basketball. You tell me I don’t “understand” while I’m pointing out that the actual problem is that nobody has to understand anything outside of cheesy gameplay that would never be effective in the real world.
