Dramaturg of plays, films, snacks, baseball, marathons, etc. Producing Artistic Director of the Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, SC. Opinions are my own. He/him
@jeremyoharris Saw a preview screening in NYC in the east village and 50% of the questions asked after were about his nude scene. The responses were incredible. No notes on that experience.
@DonnaIWalker I havenโt fully fleshed this theory out (it just struck me a few times, some overlapping plot points plus the era itโs set in), but when I watch it again Iโm going to see if it makes any more sense.
Who in the theater world would like to discuss OPPENHEIMER being this generations THE CRUCIBLE?
(It is not a perfect analogy, but I do think there are a number of similarities and overlaps, which fascinates me.)
Who in the theater world wants to discuss how BARBIE is an updated A DOLL'S HOUSE?
(Look I don't want to use this platform either, but figure in the last days we should try to at least have fun?)
Because I will never, and I mean never, produce a piece of art written by AI.
Unless that stands only for Allen Iverson. I will 100% produce a play written by Allen Iverson.
I support the WGA strike.
I'll also add, for what it's worth, that there is considerably less money but considerably more freedom in the theater.
When you're not on the line, keep those pens sharp by writing some kick ass plays I can produce in South Carolina.
@conjohnlee My companion piece "It's Still Here!", a show about a lingering cough that refuses to leave, made it to the table read before our investors realized it wasn't an Elvis jukebox musical.
Someone tonight at opening told me I was prescient for producing the show;.
To me it was just a logical next step. A big-hearted, hilarious comedy about identity is right up my alley. It's universal. It never seemed controversial when I programmed it a year and a half ago.
Tonight we open THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE at The Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, South Carolina. A show that was an obvious choice, given the previous success of our previous productions of ROCKY HORROR and HEDWIG.
Here's a preview of the show.

No skips. 100% hits. Even the skits still work.
Re-released today and it sounds just as good as it did in 1989 (even with some samples pulled out).

Love the improvements to the Swamp Rabbit Trail @CityGreenville, but maybe when you close a section of the trail (over McDaniel) it might be worth actually putting detour signs up so runners know where to go instead of just guessing?
If youโre a restaurant in Greenville and you wonโt add dairy to my sandwich, especially when I ask for no dairy, I will give you all of my money.
Iโm begging someone to step up.
Press for our Sofia Alvarez world premiere KILL CORP, which starts performances @WarehouseGvl tomorrow night!
How lucky are we to have new work by @birdabroad directed by Shelley Butler premiering in Greenville? VERY.
