Republicans campaigned on getting prices down. Since Trump took office and Republicans gained full control of Congress:
🔸Gas prices increased by 30%
🔸Vehicle maintenance and repair costs increased by 9%
🔸Electricity prices increased by over 8%
🔸Housing costs increased by 4.6%
🔸Clothing by 4.5%
🔸Employer-provided health insurance increased by 6%
Marketplace insurance is far worse. This year alone, it increased by 26%.
Inflation is so high that it is eroding away the paychecks of hardworking Americans. Millions are losing health insurance. It is expensive to feed a family.
What are Republicans doing about it?
Nothing.
They started a war that ruined our economy. Enacted tariffs and lost 75,000 manufacturing jobs. And passed a spending bill that kicked one million children off of food assistance while skyrocketing the debt through tax cuts for corporations and billionaires.
Job creation is a small fraction of what it used to be, limiting opportunities for the 60 million workers who are not paid a living wage.
Republicans have done nothing to make your life better or solve the nation's problems. They even made new ones.
America can't handle another two years of Republican control.
The 30-year Treasury yield has now traded above 5% on about 30 days this year — the longest such stretch since 2007.
For consumers, that means mortgage rates, already around 6.6%, will stay high too, making homeownership even less affordable for many.
My @Morning_Joe Chart
Trump and Musk promised to shrink the deficit. Instead, it's projected to grow — to $2.5 trillion a year within a decade (in today's dollars).
That's a heavier burden for taxpayers, and it pushes up interest rates on credit cards, mortgages and beyond.
My @Morning_Joe Chart
He attacks mail‑in voting while voting by mail. He mocks vaccines while getting vaccinated. He pushes “Buy American” while selling foreign‑made merchandise. He demands action against undocumented workers while his own properties hired them. He rages about classified information while mishandling it. And now he’s falling asleep on the job after calling Joe Biden “Sleepy.” The hypocrisy is staggering.
Q: How much longer will Americans continue to see these high gas prices?
Trump: Well, they're not very high. The stock market's up. Everything's doing really well.
Q: There's a report that the US has taken in $13 billion from Venezuela. Where is that money going?
TRUMP: I think even more than that
Q: But where is that money going?
TRUMP: We've paid for that war many times over
Q: But where is the money going?
TRUMP: Running the country
Q: No, the money the US is taking in -- where is it going?
TRUMP: Running the country

We are supposedly at war to stop Iran from enriching the uranium we “obliterated” over a year ago.
Yesterday we signed a deal to help Saudi Arabia enrich uranium.
The first time the United States has ever helped another country enrich uranium on foreign soil.
The Saudis refused the inspection protocol 140 other countries accept. Too intrusive, they said.
Trump agreed. He signed a national security waiver to get around the rule.
The Saudis paid Kushner $100 million. They put $2 billion into his firm. They put another $6 billion into LIV Golf, which pays Trump properties to host its tournaments. They signed ten billion dollars in Trump-branded real estate deals in Jeddah and Riyadh. All in just the last few years.
But sure. My paintings.
it’s extraordinary that a president who won election—twice—promising no new wars has for nearly six months been completely consumed by a new war entirely of his choosing.
