How to use AI? TLDR: ask Claude.
When a friend was coaching me on Starcraft, he basically just stood behind me and continually repeated, "Make more probes, make more probes." He didn't really need to tell me anything else. That one piece of advice dwarfed anything else.
I think the equivalent for doing anything with AI is just "ask Claude". A friend yesterday was asking me how she could actually create a website that included a backend and a login/authentication system and I just told her to ask Claude.
I think too often people are still using Google to try and find tutorials or websites or YouTube videos to teach them what to do. I have found in 99% of cases if there's something I want to do but I don't know how (or even I just don't even know what I want to do), the best next step is asking Claude. More often than not Claude won't just tell me; it will actually show me and then do it for me.

But the even more notable takeaway is that in that critical moment when it counts the most and your mind is telling you “it’s time to slow down” and “this is too hard”, that voice is wrong. You can just do it. Swoosh!
I hit a PR at the SF Half Marathon on Sunday - 1:30:10, which is a pace of 6:52/mi for 13.1 miles. All my life I was never athletic and hardly ever exercised. I only started running 3 years ago, and my first Half Marathon was a 9:42/mi pace. I wanted to share some reflections.
I’ve only been on this running journey for a couple years, and yesterday’s 1:30 finish would have been unthinkable after my first half marathon time of 2:07 in November 2019.
