What is Confession OCD?
The Loop of Confession OCD
Confession OCD makes you feel like you have to tell someone every detail of your thoughts or mistakes.
You confess⦠you feel a little reliefā¦
but then the guilt creeps back in,
and the urge to confess again starts all over.
Itās not honesty. Itās a compulsion.
And every time you give in, the loop tightens.
The real freedom comes from learning how to delay, resist, and redirect that urge so you can build self-trust again.

Pure O - OCD still technically has compulsions...
And understanding this helping me figure out my own versions of it.
Whether its ruminating - a compulsions of the mind.
Or stopping what you're doing so you can ruminate - a compulsion now of the body. This too is a way to non-verbally answer your OCD when it asks:
"Is this a threat?"
When you even stop (behaviour), you answered "Yes".
Or at least enough to stop me with what I was doing.
Just because most of the distress seems to be in the mind, we can quietly be doing thing with our body feeding into Pure O's loop.

This OCD tendency is so embarrassing to admit.
I'm glad it doesn't happen any more.
I feel like many people with OCD never want to share what they go through,
because OCD can have you thinking and doing some pretty weird stuff.
Just for the relief you can chase.
Especially with hyper real and urgent threats OCD can throw at you.
Just know you're not alone in the weirdness!

The Rock has OCD tendencies?
Even high performers can fall into looping behaviours that start out rational.
But throw in anxiety, emotions, and ambition, and suddenly those actions can tip into the irrational.
This is where OCD comes in.
Even The Rock has admitted to OCD-like tendencies, like needing the right number of reps in the gym. When I heard him talk about it on Joe Roganās podcast, I couldnāt have resonated more.
I remember being stuck on the leg press, feeling forced to push two extra reps because my mind was threatening something I cared about⦠even when I was already maxed out.
And this isnāt me bragging like, āIām a beast.ā On the outside it might have looked that way, but honestly, it was stupid.
Training smart wouldāve meant stopping. But my mind didnāt care. It just screamed: āTwo more⦠or else.ā

I talk back to my OCD, here's how it works...
As long as the situation permits,
Talking back to my OCD, even out loud really works!
It brings it from my head into reality,
And it makes me feel that much more in control when facing an OCD "What if?" threat.
Here's how I do it.

What my HyperSensori-Motor & Associative OCD is like...
A bad thought while doing or feeling something?
Could be anything, bumping a table, walking through a door way, breathing, blinking...
I would have to redo the action until it felt āright.ā Example: I'd need to think the inverse thought or at least not feel the feeling, while redoing maybe walking through a doorway or swallow again "right way"... OR ELSE.
Hours gone every day.
The turning point?
Body first, calming the nervous system that sounds the alarm for threats, and only then reframe the thought and deal with the exposure.

What my Energetic Contamination OCD is like...
One of my OCD triggers is peopleās āenergyā.
The narrative is they could contaminate me,
and that would some how ruin everything I've worked so hard to build.
Avoiding. Washing. Dodging.
Now my reframe is:
What if Iām so confident in myself, I canāt be effected.

Hereās the truth: OCD doesnāt care about logic.
It cares about leverage.
A thought pops up. Fear hits. You react. Relief comes⦠but youāve just taught your brain to bring the thought back faster next time. Thatās the loop.
The way out isnāt āstop thinking about it.ā Itās learning to feel the fear and still answer no. And that change happens in the body first, not the mind.

Risks of OCD Exposure therapy, the Vacuum Effect...
Sometimes you try to quit OCD cold turkey.
It feels like youāre winning,
Until the thoughts come back louder than ever,
to the point you feel like you're suffocating.
Gradual exposure is a strategy. Not weakness.

OCD vs The Cat and the Cheese...
Whyās OCD so hard to break?
Because itās wired like the perfect motivation cycle.
Fear behind us, false reward in front.
And before you know it, youāre running the loop on autopilot.

Why others Donāt See your OCD...
āIf itās so bad, why donāt I see it?ā
Because Iāve learned to hide it.
I disguise rituals, fake calm, and wait until Iām alone.
Curiosity and compassionāwithout judgmentāhelp more than you know.

The DARKER side to OCDā¦
OCD doesnāt just create compulsionsāit teaches you to use them for everything.
Even real fears.
Itās like handing your brain a faulty tool for every problem.
The more you give in, the faster you slide.

Implemented Bryan Johnsons fasting before bed but my panzy version of last meal at 3pm to ease my way into it.
Today OCD down something crazy... like one of those shifts that has me thinking about the whole time I could have been doing this. And this is one night & only 3pm.
The Darker Side to OCD ... no one talks about.
Most people think the worst part of OCD is the thoughts themselves.
But thereās a darker side no one talks aboutāone that can come from not treating it⦠and even from some of the most common treatments.
In this video, Iāll show you what that is, why it happens, and how you can avoid it so OCD stops controlling your emotions, your decisions, and your life.
