Landry Shamet Was Gonna Get Offers Bigger Than What The Knicks Offered, But Decided He Wanted To Stay In New York. Per, @ShamsCharania
“Landry Shamet was gonna get several teams potentially even higher than 24 million to come in but, Shamet wanted to be back with the Knicks.”
Definitely took a pay cut #legend
Knicks have $8 mil more under the 2nd apron with 11 players on the roster.
Have to imagine a trade or multiple are coming to clear $ such as Dadiet or Kolek.
Just in: Free agent guard Landry Shamet intends to sign a new four-year, $24 million deal to return to the New York Knicks, sources tell ESPN. Shamet's agent, George S. Langberg of GSL Sports Group, worked with Knicks executives on Monday to land the long-term commitment.
I would guess the Knicks get Clarkson on a minimum and try to trade Deuce + Dadiet for a backup Center.
Brunson, Alvarado, Kolek, Kayil (2-way)
Bridges, Shamet, Clarkson
Mikal, Diawara, Nickel
OG, minimum contract, McCullar (2-way)
KAT, backup center, Hukporti
That’s a legit bench back court for $10 mil a year, elite work.
Still good to have other options though like Deuce, Kolek, and Clarkson around because Alvarado and Shamet are not matchup proof and guaranteed production.

REPORT: LeBron James would only come to the Warriors in a “package deal” with Anthony Davis, with Golden State trading Jimmy Butler and picks to land AD.

Just in: Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins intends to a sign a three-year, $64 million contract to stay with the franchise, with a player option in the third season, sources tell ESPN. Heat executives and Wiggins' agents at CAA sports Steven Heumann and Andrew Morrison, as well as Richard Clarke, came to terms on a critical commitment.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is declining his $27.7 million player option to become a free agent, sources tell ESPN. This move gives the Warriors flexibility to pursue LeBron James in free agency and Anthony Davis via trade to form a Big 4.
