Since a few people are using this as a gotcha for people critical of “Arabisation”, let’s look into this. Typically when we “Arabise” our names, it’s to signal proximity to religion. The more Arabic we look, the more religious we are. Secularity doesn’t really figure here.

2. Some people aren't criticising culture, but religion, and being dishonest about it
3. Those critics of "Arabisation" are hypocrites when we have people with Biblical names
