It's surprised me as well. Especially on the recent extreme difficulty mode I added. The extra dimension makes the algorithm feel like stockfish.

@FemboyDCS 3d chess is just 2d boards stacked on top of each other. The fourth dimensions is what allows peices to move between boards. So astra did make 4d chess.

@algebratrade yes but the king starts with limited dimensions since its own peices block it. so in 4d chess getting the peices away from your king might be a viable strategy at the start of the game.
