Congratulations to Norah and Madison for signing their NLI this morning! Thanks to Coach Dlugosh and their teammates for coming to support them! #GoPats
More great reporting from the @indystar on the ridiculous situation in Fishers and Noblesville libraries.

Tomorrow, the board will meet to discuss the future of The Fault in Our Stars. In doing so, they should acknowledge that my book IS in violation of their (ill-advised, poorly written, reprehensible) policy. The very people who wrote the policy are trying to blame others, but the problem isn't books or librarians--the problem is the policy. Rescind it tomorrow, or the embarrassment will continue--which will only harm Hamilton County and readers everywhere.
Neil Gaiman (@neilhimself) is a fierce supporter of libraries. He credits librarians for fostering his love of books and reading at a young age. Gaiman spoke with us recently about the importance of libraries, book banning in the U.S., and more. https://t.co/dnB8e3GuRq
My reply to the board members of @FishersIN and @NoblesvilleIN seeking to remove my books (and over a hundred others) from the young adult literature shelves in their libraries. Heartbreaking for this to happen in Central Indiana, where I live and strive to support.
We love to see our student-athletes give back! It is so much fun to see our past & present players empowering the next generation!

"Good librarians are natural intelligence operatives. They possess all of the skills and characteristics required for that work: curiosity, wide-ranging knowledge, good memories, organization and analytical aptitude, and discretion." ―Marilyn Johnson #WednesdayWisdom#librarians
I hold the apparently outrageous position that the people making decision about the healthcare of a child should include:
* The kid
* Their parents / guardians
* Their doctor
And should not include:
* Me
Don't forget to show your local libraries some support with a sticky note testimony about what libraries mean to you! #NoCutsToLibraries

While some are seeking to ban books, my Right to Read Act w/ @RepRaulGrijalva would help ensure public school libraries nationwide are well stocked & staffed. Our pro-library bill would help more kids develop literacy skills needed to become proficient, enthusiastic readers.
