The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

@Hellboy13456@MrClarkyofAxel@notyassine900 RUSI highlighted in their 2026 air power report that Russian electronics are significantly less advanced compared to US and Chinese electronics which is one of the key factors in why their AAMs are underperforming. R-37M/77-1 also isn't all that impressive aerodynamically either.
Not at all convinced the PL-16 slides are real considering the omission of details for PL-15 and seemingly different slides in English saying different things although a variable dual pulse motor would be a huge advancement.

@Alfa_Particle I basically don't bother with certain platforms like Reddit on Chinese military developments and history as it's so heavily astro turfed along with a number of other forums it's unbearable to read.🤣

The Trump administration is aggressively pursuing leak investigations after the Iran war.
Trump personally handed acting AG Todd Blanche a stack of news articles labeled "treason," pushing the DOJ to subpoena reporter records from outlets including the WSJ, NYT, and Washington Post.
The subpoenas relate to stories about military warnings before the war, Netanyahu's lobbying of Trump, and downed-jet rescue operations.

cybersecurity is fun because every time i learn about a virus they say stuff like "well we don't know for sure who made it but it was probably the US and/or Israel"

The destruction of two U.S. missile-defense radars—the AN/FPS-132 in Qatar and AN/TPS-59 in Bahrain—could take years to replace.
Raytheon may need 5–8 years and about $1.1B to rebuild the AN/FPS-132, while Lockheed Martin would require 12–24 months and $50–75M for the AN/TPS-59.
Replacement is further complicated by reliance on gallium—98% controlled by China.

VLS count estimate for this specific configuration:
- 4x VLS per ISO container
- 4-5x containers abreast
- 3x containers longitudinally placed at full fitout
48-60 VLS onboard total?
These seem like full sized VLS too, could be H/AJK-16, UVLS or something in between.
