Relying on news reports to name an agent already identified in the press and advocating for an indictment is protected political speech.

This is not doxxing, not a true threat or incitement. It is the kind of open discourse the First Amendment exists to protect.

Sending armed federal agents to a citizen’s workplace to deliver warnings and pressure her to self-censor has a chilling effect on speech. It tells every American that questioning federal agencies can bring agents to your door. That is not how limited government operates.

Free speech is not a privilege granted by the government. It is a right that exists precisely so citizens can hold power to account. We will continue to defend that right without compromise.
