At a time when @BJP4India leaders are rejoicing the cancellation of appointments of 25,000 teachers, a peon has been caught evaluating answer sheets in a govt. college in Madhya Pradesh.
This is the same state that gave us the Vyapam scam, India's longest-running recruitment racket. Where is the moral outrage now?
Will the same party that cries hoarse about “integrity” demand a statewide probe? Will every affected student be made to retake exams?
Under the leadership of CM Smt. @MamataOfficial, Gangasagar Mela has become a symbol of exceptional planning, care, and devotion.
From seamless transport arrangements to eco-friendly measures, every initiative reflects her commitment to making this grand event safe and memorable for millions of pilgrims.
Take a look at these remarkable initiatives!
India has lost one of its greatest statesmen, Dr. Manmohan Singh, whose immense knowledge and visionary leadership reshaped the nation’s economy. As the architect of the 1991 economic reforms, his contributions remain unparalleled steering India onto a path of growth and global recognition. Tributes poured in from across the political spectrum, reflecting the immense respect he commanded.
However, it is both shocking and disheartening to see the complete silence from prominent figures in the SPORTS and FILM industries — individuals who are often celebrated as ‘ROLE MODELS’. Their reluctance to even acknowledge Dr. Singh’s passing raises uncomfortable questions about their priorities, responsibility and integrity. It appears this silence is driven by fear of government backlash, as staying silent on national issues has become the norm for many of these so-called ‘ICONS’.
This pattern of indifference is not new. These same individuals remained mute during the FARMER PROTESTS, the CAA-NRC movement, and the ongoing crisis in MANIPUR. Their silence in the face of such critical issues highlights a troubling detachment from the struggles of ordinary citizens. They have built their wealth and fame by leveraging public admiration, yet they shy away from taking even the smallest moral stand when the nation needs them most.
As we enter a new year, it’s time to reconsider who we look up to as role models. Let’s STOP glorifying those who PRIORITISE THEIR CAREERS AND COMFORT OVER COURAGE AND ACCOUNTABILITY. Instead, let us honor and support those who truly contribute to our nation and society—our freedom fighters, soldiers and individuals who sacrifice for the greater good. Let’s channel our energy and resources into meaningful actions: supporting a child’s education, feeding a family in need, or uplifting someone struggling.
The power of 140 crore Indians is immense. It’s time we demand integrity and accountability from those we elevate as icons. Let this New Year 2025 mark a shift in our collective consciousness- toward valuing those who stand tall for justice, democracy and the nation’s well-being.
Jai Hind! 🇮🇳
My mom was about to undergo an operation at a private hospital. She was under anaesthesia. The doctor came out and said “your insurance TPA has approved 30k for the doctor but my OT fee is 70k. You can pay in cash”. Ahead of OT I had paid 40k to the doc.
That memory didn’t come in my way of supporting our doctors protesting over the brutal #RGKarCase
The nexus between medical representatives and doctors didn’t come in my way of walking alongside our doctors protesting on the streets
Doctors give us life but that’s their job. Like doctors are dependent on any farmer or vegetable vendor for food. Did the doctors walk alongside the farmers during #FarmerProtest?
Their silence during the brutal killing of an innocent Jadavpur University student, who was ragged and sexually exploited to death, didn’t come in the way of the public uproar over this horrific rape and murder of a #doctor.
We as a society is one. And the demand for justice is legitimate and justice is our right. But this fight isn’t exclusive to doctors, we all want justice. Can we all stop our respective jobs and resort to protest alone? Yes the victim was a doctor but to me she was a human being and she deserved her life. I would have fought for her justice even if she wasn’t a doctor. We all respect our doctors but doctors should not expect us to worship them!
In all fairness am also reminded of an 88 year old doctor from Behala who along with his 75 year old better half, who too is a doctor, defied their children’s request and opened their doors to treat patients for free during the initial days of covid. Their children were abroad and they were on themselves completely. None had taken any dose of vaccine and none cared to care less for people. One of them was a former corporation employee and she volunteered to go door to door and educate people about sanitisation and no touch lifestyle. I had done a story on them, during the interview I had asked…why are they not scared…why were they doing what they were doing.
And they had replied…
“Work is worship and Duty is God! This is who we are. We are meant to treat people. At this difficult time, we are no less the soldier who have to fight till our last breath to save the last human life on this planet”
A shocking video has surfaced showing a 15-year-old boy & his grandmother being brutally beaten by GRP officials at the Katni police station in Madhya Pradesh.
The incident involves Katni GRP station in-charge Aruna Vahane & other officers violently assaulting Deepraj Vanshkar and his grandmother Kusum Vanshkar, both from the #Dalit community, after they were brought in on suspicion of theft.
