This season’s first Monday Night Football game, Sept. 14, will be the Denver Broncos vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
The game’s site still has not been determined as the NFL still is finalizing its schedule for Thursday’s release.
Just heard @tracywolfson report on the @NFLonCBS pregame show. She attended @broncos practice this week. She said Sean Payton walked up to her and said, “We’re gonna win this game.”
A lot of my optimism about the #Broncos offense on Sunday, of course, rides with Sean Payton. One of the more obnoxious takes I keep seeing is that if anyone believes that Stidham can be successful it’s a direct admission that Nix isn’t very good. That’s stupid, obviously.
However, I DO think there’s something to the design of Payton’s offense that allows QBs to be dropped into it and have success. Schematically, he gives his QBs answers to the tests in order to function at a high level and Stidham has been learning from him for 3 years. If Jarrett can function, at minimum, like a Point Guard for the offense…keeping things on track with only a few occasional off schedule splash plays, the Broncos (along with the defense and home field advantage) can absolutely win this game
