@Miss_RhodesPE The Program is currently on BBC iPlayer films. It is the doping story of Lance Armstrong. I only saw the start and it looked quite good! One for deviance in sport x
Loved talking to other trainees during today’s CPD on differentiation in the classroom. Also great to hear their tactics for behaviour management. Sharing best practice and innovative ideas! A productive start to the week 💪🏼
Happy #InternationalMountainDay 🏔 Last year, a day before turning 24, I reached the top of Kilimanjaro. It was the most challenging thing I think I will ever do and whenever I feel challenged I remember “If you can climb a mountain you can do anything you put your mind to!”
2x30 minute HITT workouts at my 2nd placement school. Go hard or go home right? About time I started practicing what I preach and get fitter so I don’t get out of breath demonstrating 😅 Looking forward to a healthier 6 months 🥵💪🏼🏃🏼♀️
I study teaching and learning in higher education. From all the research (and practice) I've done, I think what it comes down to is this: the most important thing for teaching is actually caring about the students and their learning.
@RogersHistory I moved to Málaga to work in a school for a short time and loved it (after having a bit of a mental breakdown) and it was the best decision I have ever made. Go to the botanical gardens in Ciudad Jardin, if you have time. It’s such a calming place and free to visit on Sundays!
@pmcds@oldandrewuk I’m in secondary training. All my best feedback comes from my year 7 lessons as I feel most comfortable with this age group. I often wonder if I’d be better suited to primary (KS2) or need more time getting used to KS4 🤷🏼♀️
What a way to end my first term of teacher training! I love performing arts and being able to get involved with them has been a delight. Feeling super proud of the year 8 gymnasts and of all the other students who performed 🤸🏽♀️
I sent my 1st postcards home last week & today a student told me how surprised they were, as they are “rubbish at PE” & how proud their mum was🙊I hope these little things motivate & encourage my nurture groups & keep them involved in exercise no matter their physical ability!💪🏼
A great residential with some very resilient year 7s ❄️🥾 Stepping outside of comfort zones (and the warmth), facing fears and learning lots of new skills 🗺 Brilliant opportunity for me to meet teachers from other departments too! #outdooreducation#teachertraining#PeakDistrict
Talking of tennis, has anyone tried paddle or ever taught it in a PE lesson? It’s really big in Europe and arguably a more inclusive adaptation of tennis. 🎾
A busy weekend getting lots of great ideas that can be used in a PE context as well as on a court coaching. I had the opportunity to play some points with some really good tennis players too. Can’t wait to share some ideas once I’ve tried them at school!
