North Carolina State Highway Patrol 1st Sgt John Edwards lied to us!
ADA Caroline Fountain lied to us!
Onslow County detective Jonathan Marshburn lied to us!
ADA Mike Maultsby lied to the judge!
Now they all hide behind archaic public records law.
Cowards!!
@MandyMatney IF Mica was groomed from an early age, there is no argument that would support the difference between 10 and 15.
You misquoted the attorney though. He did not write anything such as you implied in your tweet, and I am not supporting the pastor, by any stretch
@MandyMatney Please explain what is wrong with promoting traditional Catholic values at a Catholic school. I will have a hard time taking you serious if you can’t.
@Jessika4Justice It happens far too frequently! Prosecutors in my daughter’s homicide often ignored our calls/emails because they were working on a “big case”.
I tried 2 times to reach the director of the investigating agency. Was told that I would be charged with harassment if I called again!
Please explain why investigators would falsify evidence logs in a “thorough, transparent investigation” Morgan’s wallet was found by the tow truck driver on the afternoon of 9/09/19. Time of collection is impossible!
@SarahETurney I have backed off from the overproduced “must meet the deadline” content and spent time searching for the independent creators . It has reminded me that there are people who truly care about victims.
@HawnterWalls you got your sweet deal from the DA just by keeping your mouth shut, now show this remorse you spoke of; tell us wtf happened to our sweet Morgan Patten!
#JusticeforMorgan#MilesToGo
A Felony Death trial was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, 11/28, but @HawnterWalls accepted an offer from the State of NC to plead guilty in exchange for a gentle slap on the wrist. We will now be attending a sentencing hearing on 11/28. 💔😢
“I have offered the defendant a deal that I believe he will accept”-
Mike Maultsby, senior ADA
(six days prior to trial)
Not, “… a deal that will serve as appropriate justice for your daughter’s homicide”.
We just returned from Jacksonville where Judge Robert Roupe denied another defense request to continue the felony death trial of Hunter Wells 🤮. It is not a felony murder trial, as it should be, jury selection will begin on 11/27 and the trial immediately after.
@Jessika4Justice I could not agree with you more!
There needs to be a better way, and I will be part of the fight for a better way until I have no fight left. I’m sorry you lived the painful experience
Closing in on four years since the homicide of our sweet Morgan Patten, and the greatest lesson we’ve learned is that victims are a great inconvenience to bureaucrats.
