Tomorrow, full details of my legal action against the Energy firms.
Blowing the lid on secret commissions/bribery from British Gas, Shell, EDF, Scottish Power etc
Worth 10’s billions to UK operators.
This was a response from their Trade Body.
It’s time to stand up to them.
Ofgem energy price cap is just another scam.
Your energy bill will be £2,074 this next year (from July).
That’s an 80% rise in your energy bill compared to 2 yrs ago.
But here is the thing. Wholesale gas today is 4p per therm cheaper than exactly 2 years ago. It’s a rip off.
Wholesale gas prices just keeps falling. Down to 61 per therm.
The same cost as April 2021 yet your bills are still over £2,000, 80% higher than April ‘21.
This is a rip off. The great energy con, hidden behind the lie that Putin’s war sparked this. It’s pure greed.
Wholesale gas now ELEVEN times cheaper than it was last August.
In 3 days time, Ofgem announce the new energy price cap.
Time to cut energy bills & stop the price gouging.
21 Sept. 2018: Wholesale gas was 80p a therm.
Today, nearly 5 years on, wholesale gas is 68p a therm.
Why are gas bills 3 times higher today?
Ofgem are meeting in 5 days times to pick new prices. Please help build the pressure on them to cut energy bills.
End the rip off.
Yesterday, Tyson says, “no man born from a mother can beat me”, today he says “Jon can never beat me in a boxing ring”. Yeah I’m glad we got that clarified. You just switched your beat up faster than Travis Barker, impressive.
10 days from now Ofgem announce the new price cap for energy bills.
Wholesale gas is almost 10 times cheaper today than it was last August.
Bills must come down. Put pressure on Ofgem to cut prices & end the energy rip off.
The government could fix inflation in a blink.
Cut energy bills back down to the levels they were & end the energy corp racketeering scam.
Wholesale gas now cheaper than it has ever been in 650 days.
Wholesale Gas is now £0.79 a therm.
Was £7.02 a therm in August.
There can be zero excuses anymore. Cut energy bills now. End the price gouging and reckless profiteering of energy corps.
Wholesale gas has now fallen 80% since last Autumn.
93,000 UK businesses now face closure, cutbacks and job losses due to untenable fixed contracts.
1 in 3 are still paying 5 times market price.
Meanwhile, Energy Co's are posting record profits.
The closure of The Printworks this weekend, is not just a loss for London, but a loss for the UKs club scene
It makes you remember the importance of cultural spaces like this, which we should never take for granted
Congrats to the team, embedded forever in UK nightlife history.
Why more people aren't jumping up and down about the scandal of Energy Co's, cashing in at the expense of businesses, is beyond me.
They are literally decimating our High Streets.
Update on Hospitality Energy Bills:
My Legal Team have potentially found something to challenge.
If you used a Broker and are stuck in a contract, DM me your email address.
We need strength in numbers here. Pubs, Restaurants, Bars, Gig Venues, Theatres, Nightclubs etc.
We're now loosing 50+ pubs a month.
Meanwhile, gas is half the price it was in Oct 21.
5 x cheaper than March 22.
7 x cheaper than Aug 22.
The Energy firms are ripping the heart out of our High Streets.
@ofgem CEO/Board should resign or be sacked.
It's criminal what's happening.
As The big Energy Co's post record profits for their shareholders...we are witnessing the destruction of Hospitality independents.
@Ofgem, every closure, every job loss, is on your watch. You aren't fit for purpose.
We can't just sit by and allow the big Energy Co's to decimate our sector, Hospitality.
We owe it to ourselves, staff, suppliers, customers and future generations.
I'm now exploring alternative options, as @ofgem have failed us.
Nothings off the table. We need to make noise.
Hospitality finally seem to be waking up to what happens tomorrow.
The cliff edge is today and the government are loss in action.
The closures will start in earnest now, we must look to putting the pieces back together in the aftermath.

Be good if they could get sharing, signing.
✍️ sign.
This is ridiculous and completely untenable.
I'm now calling for the CEO of @ofgem, Jonathan Brearley to stand down from his 300k per year job.
This current body is not fit for purpose.

People have spent their lives building those businesses…it’s people’s jobs.
At the same time kids all over the UK are being deprived of there local swimming baths as the leisure centres can’t afford to heat them.
@ofgem … what do you do exactly?
