@Villgecrazylady One faith, one Lord, one baptism. The dichotomy of splitting up the “religion” of the OT and the “religion” of the NT makes absolutely no sense. Christianity is the fulfillment and end goal of Judaism…
@LordTemplar1@echppll Re: French: Sure. And I agree with you. But it’s fallacious to jump to that conclusion 100% of the time. Especially when all you have to go off is a single tweet.
Lots of defensive takes surround the DW sacred cow. This is certainly no exception.
@LordTemplar1@echppll Lots of assumptions here about the OP. Which proves my point.
This is the functional equivalent of disagreeing with your political party’s President on one point and then being accused of being a leftist/opposing party.
That’s silly.
@_BenLee Also, it’s strange that if you’re opposed to DW, you necessarily are pro-whatever he’s against. Lots of false dichotomous takes on this issue.
@LordTemplar1@echppll False dichotomy: you can be critical of who we are inviting to the “conversation” and still think the issue needs to be addressed…
We noticed something sobering in family worship today:
in Genesis 27, Jacob uses a dead goat and his brother’s robes to deceive his father;
in Genesis 37, Joseph’s brothers use a dead goat and their brother’s robes to deceive Jacob.
Recently I had a discussion with my friend Aaron on worship. I think the 20th century saw many churches replace reverence and awe with the pursuit of "relevance." We need to recover a biblical understanding of what is happening when the saints gather.
