Congrats to @PierrePoilievre for stopping the Liberals and NDP. They would have allowed practioners to assist in euthanizing people on request who are dealing with mental issues. Canada already is the number 1 world leader in 'medically assisting' death.
“The West should stay in Canada.”

The debate explored growing tensions around energy, equalization, and political representation.

Keith Wilson's full interview with Rosemary Barton "In his speech he talked about, well, the pipeline will only go ahead if there's significant financial benefits to British Columbia That's a new condition, and he's given vetoes."

I have warned for sometime now that Canada, snuggling closer to China and pushing away from the US will result in less information sharing from our non-communist allies.
HOLY COW.
Same oil price.
Totally different reality.
2014: $100 oil → $1.30/L gas
Today: $100 oil → $1.85/L gas
That’s a 50¢ jump with NO change in global price.
What changed?
Higher taxes
More debt
Weaker dollar
They didn’t fix affordability. They BROKE IT
@PierrePoilievre Powerful. This is the truth Canada needs to hear right now. We can’t change our future until we get honest about our present. Best speech I’ve heard in a long time.
@ryangerritsen The answer is 'yes.' Canadians didn't give you a majority, yet you’re ignoring the clear message they sent. Your indifference to that reality isn't just concerning—it’s undemocratic.
"Diplomacy is necessary, grinning is optional and looking like a supplicant is undignified," said former Canadian diplomat Michael Kovrig about some of Prime Minister Mark Carney's actions and statements while in China. "That's not a good look."
