Hello, my name is Mónica and today I came to terms with the fact that I am not straight and that there is no reason for me to be ashamed of that.
I don’t think I’m quite ready to share with some of my family, but today I’m sharing with you!
This is me.
Me, having to lead the class discussion on a specific article which I understood the half of, where I am the only master’s student in a room of PhD students who are 10+ years older than me:
👁👄👁
And me thinking about how I still struggle when things get hard and how I immediately go to worst case scenario but also realizing I’m slowly learning that disagreements are a part of life and that doesn’t mean everything is going to fall apart
Me thinking about how much I’ve grown and learned throughout my relationship and how I’ve changed so many behaviors that impeded me from having an open and honest relationship and how I’ve learned to let myself be vulnerable (in the good way) even though it can be so scary
@l_bell25 +having a .4 appt instead of .5 so you’re not qualified for the gta insurance so you have to pay full price for student insurance even though you’re doing the same amount of work (if not more). Love that for me
Fiji's men's rugby team sang a traditional song from the podium after winning gold at the #Olympics.
Fiji is battling a major #COVID19 outbreak. The team has spent 5 months away from family, some flying to Japan on a freight plane with frozen fish because flights were canceled.
Not me crying every time they show an Olympian medalling and then bawling when they show their friends and family’s reaction. It takes so much sacrifice and dedication to get here— from Olympians and their support systems. We get a live view of people’s dreams coming true.
