Jokaisen, joka ajattelee täyshunnun olevan vapauttava, kannattaa laittaa sellainen päälle ja fiilistellä, että miltä tuntuu.

Muistan joskus 12-vuotiaana laittaneeni pään peittävän huivin valokuvaa varten ja inhosin sitä koko solullani. En ymmärtänyt miksi minun piti tyttönä peittää pääni, kun samaa ei pyydetty pojilta. Siinä oli jotain erikoista.

SUKLAAN valmistus Pandan tehtaalla Vaajakoskella Jyväskylässä päättyy vuoteen 2030 mennessä ja siirtyy Orkla-konsernin Kalevin tehtaille Viroon.

Suklaata on tehty Vaajakosken tehtaalla liki sata vuotta, vuodesta 1929 lähtien.

Panda on osa norjalaista Orkla-konsernia.

Keskisuomalaisen mukaan Orkla Suomi käynnistää Vaajakosken tehtaalla 147 työntekijää koskevat muutosneuvottelut syyskuun alussa.

Panda-tehtaan lisäksi Orkla-konsernilla on Suomessa oma toinen tuotantolaitos Ahvenanmaalla Haraldsbyssä (Godby, Sund). Siellä valmistetaan Taffel-sipsejä sekä Oolannin pakasteperunatuotteita.

Orkla Suomen mukaan omaa tuotantoa on nykyisin vain näillä kahdella paikkakunnalla.

Vantaalla ja Turussa on toimipisteitä, ja Turussa myös logistiikkakeskus, mutta ne eivät ole konsernin elintarviketehtaita.

Aiempi Turun säilyketehdas, jossa tehtiin muun muassa Felix- ja sillituotteita, lakkautettiin vuonna 2018.

Suomalainen 🇫🇮 omistus on tärkeä asia - tytäryhtiötalous on tie kehitysmaaksi.

Lance Bass and his partner, Michael Turchin, used IVF and surrogacy to obtain a little boy and a little girl.

But their own words reveal something disturbing about the fertility industry.

The women hired as surrogates and the children created are treated as disposable objects—not human beings with inherent worth and dignity.

Here are just a few shocking statements from Lance and Michael on the process of hiring egg donors, surrogates, and creating children…

1. “We got all the way down the path of about to retrieve their eggs… Some just wouldn’t produce enough eggs, some weren’t good genetic matches.” — Michael Turchin

2. “Not only did we need to get a new egg donor now because we found out she had early lupus, but on top of that, when we did our egg retrieval, we only had two healthy embryos... once she miscarried, we had to start all over from scratch again.” — Michael Turchin

3. “[W]e found a new donor and we love the donor, so we have our embryos ready to go right now. Unfortunately, we just lost our surrogate that we’ve had for over two years. And so now begins the process of finding a replacement surrogate...” — Lance Bass

Notice the language: new donor, replacement surrogate, healthy embryos, genetic matches.
This is what happens when human reproduction becomes a commercial process. Women are treated like breeders, selected and replaced according to whether they meet the desired specifications.

Children are treated as products of a system that screens, selects, and manufactures them according to their parent’s wishes and not just embraced for who they are.

The women involved deserve better than to be treated as means to an end. The children involved deserve better than to be treated as products designed to fulfill adult desires.
Every child has inherent dignity. Every woman has inherent dignity.

IVF and surrogacy undermine that dignity by turning human reproduction into a marketplace where adult preferences come first and children's rights are ignored.

We should reject these practices and work toward ending them.

I am bewildered, and not very impressed, by the visceral, naked, irrational hatred spat out by some defenders of Jason Arday. If a Cambridge professor is accused of being an unqualified charlatan, the accusation might be racially motivated. On the other hand it might not, depending on the evidence. The correct question to ask is not, ”What is the colour of his skin” but “Is it in fact true that he is an unqualified charlatan?” Please examine the evidence before leaping to the assumption of racism.
As for the idea that journalists “piled in on him” and “hounded him to his death”, most attacks were against Cambridge University. Jason himself was widely regarded as an unfortunate victim of foolish promotion way beyond his ability to cope. In appointing him to a professorship for which he was manifestly unqualified – in ludicrously describing him as “the best in the world” – certain senior members of the university showed a level of patronising condescension towards black people that could fairly be described as racism, while at the same time making him tragically vulnerable to such attacks as came his way.

Tämä on järkyttävää. Nathan Cofnas @nathancofnas kuvasi kirjoituksessaan seikkaperäisesti miten paljon Jason Arday oli plagioinut väitöskirjassaan ja muissa tutkimusjulkaisuissaan.
Nyt väkijoukko syyllistää häntä Ardayn kuolemasta.
Miten nämä mieltään osoittavat ihmiset eivät näe mitä tekevät? He syyttävät Cofnasta ja mediaa Ardayn vainosta, mutta he itse vainoavat Cofnasta ja toimittajia, jotka paljastivat Ardayn väärinkäytökset.
Ihmisten sokeus omille motiiveilleen on käsittämätöntä!
