Thanks for your understanding and support—we appreciate our community more than ever! And if you want a last taste of local strawberry sweetness for the season, come by today!
Since 2012, Ontario growers have faced an annual challenge from the foreign invasive Spotted Wing Drosophila fruit fly, which swoops in and wreaks havoc on soft fruit, like strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and more. Unfortunately, that time has arrived again this season
Our market will remain open with fresh, local, seasonal produce until late fall. You can expect to see cucumbers, beans, cantaloupe, watermelons, beets, and more on our counter soon!
Open at 8:30am today with strawberries for U-Pick and at our market.
Closing time is noon for U-Pick and 4pm at our market, but we are expecting big crowds, so may sell out early. We will post updates if this is the case.
The strawberries are still hanging in there!
Picking will be slower as we have to be diligent to filter out the berries that have spoiled in the field due to the weather, but we hope to have a good supply in the market by 9am.
U-Pick strawberries will be open from 8:30am-12pm.
The first of our 2025 strawberries hit the counter this morning! We're just picking the first few that have turned red, so supply will be very limited until more ripen up in the coming days.
Other local produce, like asparagus and tomatoes, also available.
Open 9am - 5pm.
We, at Millar Berry Farms, have always been mindful of this, and use Integrated Pest Management strategies (including hand-weeding) to maintain soil and plant health, and reduce pest pressure with as little pesticide use as possible.
It's a lot of work but our health is worth it!

@CynFarmGirl@CTVNews Strawberries have long been known as some of the worst produce for pesticide exposure.
We're more strongly regulated in Canada.
Go find a local grower who takes measures to reduce pesticide use.
Open 9am-5pm!
In addition to our rhubarb and asparagus, and the usual local hothouse-tomatoes, greens, honey, and maple syrup, we've got some new local additions like bell peppers (greenhouse), mushrooms, and grape tomatoes!
A nice sunny day to pump some extra sweetness into the berries! We're now in peak strawberry season, and our market will be stocked up with freshly picked berries daily from 9am.
Closing time is 6pm weekdays, 4pm Saturdays, and 2pm Sundays.

Our market will be open at 9am today with our fresh-picked strawberries, and other local produce.
