🚨 Trump calling it straight: Tim Sheehy is GREAT. A Winner!
Former waterbomber pilot dropping truth on Canada’s hypocritical wildfire games, blocking U.S. firefighters while cashing in on our taxpayer dime like a protection racket.
@LeslynLewis Well part of the deal is that meta is fully funding its own natural gas power generation plant and upgrades to the grid so excess power is sold back to Alberta.
• Closed-loop design noted: The data center plans a closed-loop water cooling system once operational, but the incident occurred in the construction phase before full operations, specifically during pipe/system flushing with purchased city water that already carried the naturally occurring soil bacterium.
• Limited impact and response: It did not affect drinking water supplies; no illnesses reported. City officials traced the source, halted related discharges, disinfected lines, tightened wastewater rules for data centers, and required offsite hauling until safeguards were in place.
@bruce_barrett Meta is fully funding its own natural gas power generation and upgrading to the electrical grid with excess power sold to the province. The water is non issue as this will have a closed looped water cooling system and once build use less water then an average golf course.

@squirtlevc@timkiladze I’m pretty sure part of the agreement is that meta is fully funding natural gas power generation plant, upgrades to the grid and excess power being sold back to the province. I see it as a win

@CanadianPro2@ZaickRyan It’s specifically planned in an industrial zone no where near housing community’s.
They are fully funding natural gas power generation plants along with upgrades to existing grid infrastructure.
They are building a Closed looped water cooling system not dumping water.
@joneseygirl2022@RiseOfAlberta Sturgeon area and Meta is FULLY funding natural gas power generation plant and it will be using a closed looped water cooling system so fill it once and that’s about it. FYI
