Really stupid people: "Haha she's just joking, no way this is serious."
Same morons keep trying to tell me that the Dems won't abolish the filibuster the next time they have power when THEY TRIED IT JUST A FEW YEARS AGO AND IT FAILED ONLY BECAUSE TWO DEMOCRATS WHO ARE NO LONGER IN THE SENATE VOTED NO.
The reason why Democrats continue to succeed is due in large part to the fact that their clearly stated goals are waved away as ridiculous and impossible
Agreed. It is a constitutional crisis that we have someone who is not eligible for citizenship voting in Congress, funneling tens of millions in taxpayer funds to her corrupt relatives and friends and on to Somalia.
That on top of untold numbers of illegal aliens, dead people, non-existent people voting. Corrupt feds who spied on Congress and amassed a political hit list of more than 100,000 everyday Americans based on their purchases. A corrupt finance sector that debanked them. More than $50 billion a year in taxpayer funds being laundered through NGOs for political ends.
Entirely agreed. How is that not constitutional crisis.
But wait til you hear how a departing president conspired with his FBI and intel chiefs to undermine the incoming president with concocted evidence. Also, how they used that illegally inflated electorate and unverifiable mail-in ballots to rack up an unprecedented 81 million votes to place a massively corrupt career incompetent dementia patient in the Oval Office, while a cabal of Obama bros with an autopen acted as president of the United States.
Like you, I’m shocked at what has transpired in this nation. Glad to see it is finally being addressed. This constitutional crisis.
What’s excessive is his distortion of history. And his blind eye to the widespread violent expulsion of Jews from Arab nations.
Excessive but entirely unsurprising.
In other business, is there a reason that guy hasn’t been raided by feds yet? For the seditious insurrection.
Wow, wow, wow. I just left the National Press Club where Minister of Communications @AnikaWells spoke. She repeatedly and brazenly lied about the fake accounts, claiming they were only for enforcement, even though the legislation says in black and white that the eSafety Commissioner can use them in unlimited ways for "educational" and "promotional" purposes.
One big moment came when a Politico reporter got up and said something about how mean people like @PaulineHansonOz were to eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman-Grant. Seriously. A supposed reporter was white-knighting for a government official during the official Q&A. The same reporter had come up to me before Wells' speech and asked if I had criticized Inman-Grant. Who needs government censors when you have Politico?
After he asked his question, Wells showed the most emotion, describing online criticism of Inman-Grant as "abuse." She also talked about her own staff's supposed suffering. I kid you not. The mask dropped, and you could see what really upset her: people — including a sitting Senator — criticizing government officials.
After gaslighting the audience about fake accounts, Wells repeatedly insisted the government wasn't trying to censor content. She said this after filling her speech with examples of content she claimed harmed people. You couldn't make it up.
This legislation is the culmination of decades of progressives equating words with physical violence. Wells cynically compared her legislation to prevent psychological "harm" to various laws that protect people from physical harm, like seat belt laws.
BTW, Wells never said what content it was that she thought caused eating disorders. Pictures of skinny women? Dietary advice? Who knows. Nobody asked.
Another important moment came when Wells explicitly said Australia would be pursuing censorship alongside other nations, including the UK, France, and Spain—all countries where governments risk losing power to populists.
I spoke with Julie Inman-Grant before the speech began and asked about the fake accounts. She insisted they were there just for enforcement, and when I asked why the law allowed them to be used for government propaganda, she said she might write an "enforcement memo," which, of course, would have no impact on the legislation.
After her speech, I went up to Wells and asked if she was seriously saying the legislation didn't allow the government to use fake accounts for government propaganda. She refused to answer. A man who said he was from the National Press Club stepped in front of me and said I could interview her afterward. But that wasn't possible because they rushed her out the back to avoid any difficult questions.
So there you have it. The pettiest people in Australia are seeking to silence citizens and their political opponents in the name of protecting children. These deeply intolerant and cynical people want to control what you can see and say online. And they're doing it with most of the media's support. Australia has reached a new low in its rapid descent into dogmatism, intolerance, and censorship.
Sadly, this is not isolated. Members of the Australian media pushing for more censorship is the norm...these are the same hacks who disgraced themselves during Covid.
GP Ending the war wouldn't bring gas prices down, if by ending the war you mean packing up, coming home, and doing nothing.
Ending the war by ending the mullahs in Tehran and the Houthis in Yemen would work, though.
Treating men and women exactly the same is a joke. Women don’t have to register for the draft. Men can’t get pregnant. We act differently and we think differently. And that’s perfectly fine. Because we are different.
This is actually a decent demonstration of how socialists pretend to love laborers but actually hate them...In Abdul's world, if you use the money you make from work to invest and create more opportunities for other laborers, which also provides you with an income, you are a bad guy...because after all, the ONLY way you should be able to make money is through physical, active labor...not using your previous labor in such a way as to create productive opportunities for others as well as yourself.
So in his opinion...we should all have to engage in active labor till the day we die, if we want to survive.
ChatGPT launches new anti-gun AI policies one day after Everytown recommends new anti-gun AI policies.
The popular artificial intelligence assistant is now completely anti-gun.
Gennifer Hesseling is the “shop mom” at a gun shop she started with her husband Phil in 2017, Hesseling & Sons Firearms & Gunsmithing.
The business began in their garage almost 10 years ago, but they now occupy a 15,000 square foot facility located in Lima, Ohio.
Gennifer, who has a background in graphic design, handles all of the shop’s marketing and social media, which has grown tremendously due to her hard work.
She had been relying heavily on ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence or AI assistant made by OpenAI.
“I’ve learned to be cautious because of the industry we’re in, but ChatGPT would help write copy and other media,” Gennifer said Monday. “We had a playful voice on our social media. I’m creative but if you tune your chatbot, it can mimic what you do and make it easier for you. It knows you and your products. It created actual ad campaigns. It would write and promote products for us. If I gave my chatbot what was in my head it would create it quickly.”
One ad campaign was designed to presell specific products before the gun shop actually got them in stock. It was tremendously successful.
Earlier this month, Gennifer wanted to create another ad campaign for gold-plated Desert Eagle pistols, which the shop was about to acquire.
Unfortunately, her AI said no.
“Until this month, we’ve never had an issue, but something changed. Our AI changed,” she said. “We’ve never had a restriction from ChatGPT about selling guns or promoting gun sales. Basically, the AI said, ‘I know we’ve done this in the past, but I can’t help you now.’ I was not selling anything illegal. I was asking my chatbot to assist with sales of lawful products.”
