Sometimes, teachers don’t need their administrators to inspire them, motivate them, or even lead them.
Sometimes, what teachers need... is for their administrators to listen to them, understand them, and validate their experiences.
Much of the ed. value of read alouds lies in the interactivity. Here's a video demonstrating an asynchronous/recorded read aloud that encourages interactivity. Probably not as good as synchronous IRAs, but likely better than just reading straight through.

Coming up A LOT in my interviews with parents: Zoom school IS anxiety producing. Kids who were never anxious r now freaking out about not being seen or heard. These are 5-8 year olds. Students should not be in zoom classes of 20 plus kids at once.
I used to teach high school. Now I teach college freshman. High school teachers, PLEASE stop saying "I don't like the 5-paragraph essay, but the students need it for college." They don't. They really, really, don't. I promise!!
