The story started on August 15 last year.
Star burned $OKB supply down to 21M tokens, and it went from around $30 to $250+.
That move changed the whole energy overnight.
People rushed to X Layer. Meme coins started deploying. Everyone wanted to catch the next wave.
Back then, I bought in too. I started talking about it. Price started moving. The X Layer team was actually supportive. The guy handling it was interacting, encouraging people, even saying things like Why don’t you add OKX in front of your name?
So we did.
And honestly, I got bullish.
Because for the first time in a long time, I saw people actually bagworking on a chain where meme culture was not even fully encouraged. Star has always been clear that he sees memes as extraction culture, not real culture.
But still, people showed up.
We kept talking. We kept pushing. Token ran to around $50M market cap in two or three weeks. Then it came down. Then it ran again.
Then Token2049 happened. We met people. Took pictures with Star. Met the ecosystem. The energy felt real.
And then suddenly the X Layer guy left for Binance.
Hierarchy changed. Then the 10/10 crash happened. Market got ugly. Everyone scattered. I left too.
But here is the part that actually matters.
Even after everything
These $Xdog people were still there.
Still DMing me. Still talking. Still showing up every single day.
Yesterday, one of their messages hit me emotionally, and I was like fuck it.
I took 500 OKB and one clipped the chart.
Because maybe this is what culture actually is.
One for all. All for one.
If people are still showing up when there is absolutely nothing to show, no listing, no hype, no free pump, no spotlight then maybe that deserves respect.
Everywhere else is 10 minute culture.
You buy something, blink twice, and you don’t even remember what the hell you bought.
But this thing has been alive for 10 months.
Almost a year.
And time flew fast.
So yeah, I’m back where bagworking is accepted and respected.
Back to a place where people still care after the candle is gone.
I don’t know what happens next.
I don’t care to pretend I know.
But I know one thing
Legacy is not created by people who show up only when the chart is green.
Legacy is created by the ones who stay when there is nothing left but belief.
Let’s build it.
