Maybe that could make the discussion less heated and difficult if it does not center the topic on control or someone not having common sense.

I've been away from this app for a few weeks very much enjoying some great time with family.

We were in Nashville visiting our daughter at @BelmontUniv the day of the shooting at Covenant School. That day, we were touring Belmont with our son when our daughter sent us the alert.

Perhaps we start by adjusting the language a bit. Rather than terms like "common sense" and "gun control," perhaps we say "weapon or firearms management."

He is one of the most popular kids around because he cares about everyone. He honors God and impacts people.

This Dude never misses a beat. From being born on Leap Day (three weeks before his due date) to working every single day to be the best he can be, Dude nails it. He brings music, joy, fun, a bit of snark, and a ton of hard work to everything he does every day.

She's added charm, fun, class, some sass, adventure, incredible amounts of hard work, and the greatness of music. All while honoring God and impacting people. Her mother and I are blessed to be the first impacted. Happy birthday, Sweet Pea. We love you.

So there we were, twenty years ago today, in a hospital room on base at Fort Sill, OK. My wife was in labor and I was doing our taxes. I finished about midnight and the nurses let me fax them in from the nurse station. A couple of hours later, @MadelynnMille27 joined the party.

@BizzyBizzyrg Perhaps. Good call.

Is there a reason for this much packaging for razor blades?

I've been cleaning the basement and home office space the last couple of weeks. Gone through every box that I have just to see what's in them.

I am confident there are no classified documents here.

I'm generally not one to post food photos, but this is an exception. This smoked bacon gouda sandwich at Oak + Bean in @Oswego_IL is amazing. Anyone in or going to Oswego should treat themselves to this.

(My wife took the photo. I'm not skilled enough for this art.)

@RyanAustinDean War is a terrible thing. Especially when one of participants is particularly cruel.

@TimeNowBlog Just added it to my soon-to-read list.

This is a good day to bring this back up. Do yourself a favor and take the two and a half minutes to watch this description of February.

A cold, wet day in Chicagoland. A good day to make some bread.

So, I listened to this audio book this week. Fascinating. Anyway listening or reading it will do so with their own political lens, of course. But it is a fascinating history of how we go where we are politically and culturally, regardless of the political perspective.
