There's another Chinese live action Mulan adaptation film made by actual Chinese filmmakers that I absolutely love called Mulan: The Rise of a Warrior.

It's no Disney. It's grittier and darker, but so so beautifully and heartrendingly portrayed. 10/10 highly recommend 💯
