Convinced my dad to take us to RSPB Ouse Washes to see the Night Heron this morning, only took a couple minutes of waiting for it to appear and treat us with some great views 🤩 @CambsBirdClub

@nationalrailenq hmm i have an off-peak single that says valid only via Cambridge so i suspect no? is the connecting train to Hitchin after the cancelled 20:51 likely to be fine?

@nationalrailenq currently on Greater Anglia to Cambridge aiming to change for Hitchin and then Biggleswade but connecting Cambridge-Hitchin train cancelled. if i change at Ely and go to Peterborough then down to Biggleswade to avoid Hitchin entirely will my ticket be valid on that route?

Just been poking around the old book shops in Norwich and bought this copy ‘Rare Birds in Britain and Ireland’, opened it up to find a few surprises in there 🥹 I don’t know who owned this but I love finding other people’s notes in secondhand books

This #Winterwatch segment reminds me of a trip to Cley with my brother where someone had been sitting in the hide since 7am waiting to see a Bittern. Within minutes my brother turned to me and said “I think I’ve just seen a grebe,” and proceeded to show me a photo of a Bittern
