ISerialization just landed in the static_h branch and will be out in the next stable release.

ISerialization encodes a JS value into an efficient opaque binary representation, which can then be de-serialized (deeply cloned) in one or more runtime instances.

It also optionally supports serialization with ownership transfer.

It is intended for efficient passing of values between runtimes and will be the base of message passing in our implementation of Web Workers.

Rodrigo Pimentel, em suas entrevistas, tem defendido que o Estado do Rio de Janeiro vive uma situação que se aproxima de um Conflito Armado Não Internacional. Isso não pode ser apenas um detalhe retórico.

A afirmação é incômoda porque desmonta o mito do orgulho federativo: mostra que há guerra dentro de um país que insiste em se declarar pacífico, democrático e soberano. Lula, até outro dia, estava arrotando soberania para os coleguinhas da ONU.

Se esse enquadramento fosse formalmente aceito, o Rio atuaria sob o Direito Internacional Humanitário, com obrigações formais de guerra interna. O governo federal petista, por sua vez, teria de admitir o que nega há décadas: a perda funcional de soberania sobre parte do território nacional. Um fracasso monumental de toda retórica petista do "amor venceu".

Se isso acontecesse, a força policial teria de se converter em força militar legítima; e o Estado, de agente de segurança, passaria a parte em guerra. A operação deixaria de ser “repressão ao crime” para se tornar "ato de imposição da paz interna" — como sustenta Rodrigo Pimentel.

O dilema é ou reconhecemos que o Rio enfrenta um poder armado paralelo (e, portanto, uma forma de guerra interna), ou continuamos fingindo que “bandidos” se combatem com boas intenções. O moralismo progressista prefere se apegar ao delírio pacifista.

Um pouco — só um pouco — de realismo não faria mal para o debate público. O problema é que a simples discussão a respeito da nomeação dos fatos fere o orgulho ideológico dos que vivem de mitos e fingem não ver que, no Brasil, já vivemos tomados pela tragédia da violência há muito tempo.

What we just announced at React Conf

1/ The New Architecture is now the ONLY supported Architecture for React Native. Starting with v0.82, you won't be able to opt-out from New Architecture anymore.

We are finally going to ship the static_h branch to OSS! We have already been shipping it to more than a billion devices and it has been rock solid.

The branch contains years of significant improvements:
- Dramatically better support for modern language features (let/const, async, class, etc)
- Better interpreter performance - up to 2x and more, depending on the benchmark.
- Speedups in library functions
- No more limit on number of properties in an object (the limit used to be 196,000, which is a lot but clearly not enough for our devs!)
- Experimental JIT

Not all of these features will be enabled right away, but they are available and we will be turning them on gradually.

(Native compilation and static typing are present in the same static_h branch, but not quite ready for mass usage yet)

@icookandcode With React Native, the state management and native widgets make it a really good choice. KMP for sharing business logic is good too, but I think it’s mostly suited for bigger teams.

𝝠 Expo 🤝 @Meta - We teamed up to deliver precompiled iOS builds in 0.81/SDK 54 - they could cut compile time by 10x.

We're super excited about this for a lot of reasons but here are a few of the highlights:

◆ Faster builds: Compile RN once per release, saving huge time—RNTester clean builds went from ~120s to ~10s.
◆ Greener coding: Less compiling means better battery life & lower energy use.
◆ Smoother integrations: Easier to add RN into existing (brownfield) apps.
◆ Future-proof: Prepares RN for migration from CocoaPods to Swift Package Manager before 2026.
