What Kieran McKenna has achieved at #ITFC is not a miracle; it’s down to hard work, meticulous planning, backing from a good CEO and board, shrewd recruitment including loans, not getting carried away, and staying focused. It’s down to having an ego-free manager who treats players as human beings and knows how to get the best out of them emotionally and tactically. And they play terrific football.
Been fortunate to interview McKenna twice over the past two promotion seasons and he has this quiet authority. Very likeable, very focused and now very @premierleague. Congratulations to all at Ipswich Town. They’ve had some special managers in the past. And McKenna’s rising fast. Btw Premier League fixtures announced June 18.
Last YouTube video of the project africa series is out tonight at 19:30 uk time.

Yes boys & girls. Another day closer. Wanted to open up the last day of this project to anyone & everyone who has been watching and supporting. Come and run the last marathon, the last half, 10km, 5km, 1km. Whatever you fancy.
We'll be starting from the shell garage in Ghezala, finish at the most northern tip of Africa, and then trading 1s & 2s on the tarmac for 1s & 2s on the dance floor.
We've booked a hotel on the nearby town of bizerte between the 6th-9th of April and have a party organised for the last day running on the 7th. If you want to come and be a part of it with us just email [email protected] with a photo of your passport and flight/travel confirmation and we will sort your accommodation for free as a thank you for everyone's immense support. First come, first served & limited spaces.
Plenty of other hotels super close by though so if you still want to come for the finish and the party, feel free to book your own place (no need to email) Everyone is welcome!
